“We recently promoted one of nursing team to head nurse. She had all the attributes we wanted but had never been in a leadership role. Luckily at the same time Carolyne was bringing her ‘Leadership, Management and Motivation for Veterinary Practices made simple” course to a venue local to us so we both booked to go.
This day includes a bit of homework and DISC profiling, which in my opinion is worth the fee on its own! The DISC profiling is a valuable tool in helping you understand yourself & others which in turn helps you to think about how you handle people and situations differently. Trust me, once you have the results of your DISC profiling and Carolyne has taught you how you and other profile types interact, its one of those things you store in your mind and refer to regularly. We all know that communication is the key to just about everything but if the people you lead or manage are not on the same wavelength as you, they wont hear you! Carolyne gives you the tools to adapt so that everyone hears you! We both left at the end of the day understanding how we would best communicate with each other and understanding how we could engage with the variety of team members we were to lead.” Dawn Kent, Practice Manager, Willow Veterinary Care Ltd
